Max Planck Law

byMax Planck Law

Max Planck Law is a collaborative network of Max Planck Institutes dedicated to legal research, connecting over 400 researchers, including more than 200 PhD candidates, making it one of the largest legal research training programs globally. The network facilitates interdisciplinary collaboration through four main programs: an annual conference, researcher-led initiatives, international exchanges, and curriculum and career development workshops.

Features

The network's four main programs include: - **Annual Conference**: Held each autumn at Harnack House in Berlin, researchers at all career stages present work, test arguments, and discuss findings together. - **Researcher-led Initiatives**: Working groups pursue shared questions in areas including climate and environmental law, corporate responsibility, China, Latin America, and race and social justice. Each group sets its own agenda and produces its own outputs. - **International Exchanges**: Researchers can apply for research stays at the University of Cambridge, Melbourne Law School, and the National University of Singapore. - **Curriculum and Career Development**: Workshops and seminars cover legal research methods and academic career paths.
